Indoor water feature

build an indoor water feature

It is not as daft as it sounds, i mean a small table top water feature.

You can make a small feature from almost anything, but the basic components are: water tight container, pump, ornament, water.

You can use almost anything for a container, a pot, vase, bowl.

So long as the pump does not pump the water higher that half the container diameter you can use any combination of your choice. (this is to ensure that any splash does not go outside the container)

you can also have a small drilled rock  or any other similar item and so long as the water flow is adjusted (most small pumps do have an adjustment) to just trickle over your ornament, the ornament can be tall.

Once you have your pump and bowl installation is very simple. fix your pump to the inside of the container, (I suggest silicone sealant) attach your ornament to the pump, you will need to give your ornament support if it has a wide base or is heavy.

The easiest way to bring the pump cable out is over the side of your container, and if your fountain is in a corner, you could bring the cable out  on the corner side. Fill your bowl with water plug in your pump, sit back and enjoy.

Go on send us a picture of what you have made
