This is how a certain fountain used to look in 2002, grass behind and in front of the fountain, but its not a fountain there is no water! The water is actually under the gravel and the lights which you can't see are just in the foreground

The grass in front and behind the fountain  was killed with weed killer, and a "membrane" laid down when the dead grass was removed. Next 5 tonnes of gravel was laid out on the membrane. (1.5 tonnes of gravel came from inside the pool, leaving .5 of a tonne to hide the pump cables) The brick pool has already been there for some time as has the lions mask in the background. To break up the gravel the occasional paving slab was put down.

The owner is really pleased with it as it is now very low maintenance, and yes the pool has had a revamp too, all the original fountains have now gone and been replaced with new ones. To view the fountains click here
