Statue water feature- how to build one

Building a statue water feature. You may have noticed in our pictures section "Sam and his friend Rock" We thought you might like to see how it was done. (Thanks to Mrs E. Woodward for the pictures)

First a suitable site was chosen, a hole dug for a sump. (Seeing as a liner was to be used and the sump deep a "water tank" was put in first to stop the sides from caving in.) See pic 1

Next the liner was put in, Partially filled and the pump put in too. See Pic 2

The pump was then adjusted for the flow for "rock" and a Wire mesh covered in liner was then placed over the sump. The wire mesh was covered in liner so as to give support to "Rock" and to stop the stones from falling through. (see pic 3)

"Sam and Rock" were then put in place and then the decorative stones were put down (see pic 4)

A year or so later Sam has had a revamp
